Pauline Reguig, born 1984, started her violin studies at age 7 with Larissa Kolos at the conservatory in Toulouse, France. Aged 13 she followed her teacher to the « Paris Conservatoire »  from which she graduated in 2002 with a unanimously awarded First Prize. That same year she joined the class of Prof. Petru Munteanu at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock, Germany, where she obtained her Artist’s Diploma in 2007 and her Masters Degree with Distinction in 2009. She continues to perform in numerous masterclasses with internationally renowned artists.

As solo violinist of the Ensemble Concertino, Pauline Reguig was able to build up a broad repertoire as soloist and chamber musician. In 2009 she founded the “Bartholdy Trio” with Yasuko Sugimoto and Alexey Shestiperov, which regularly performs in Germany as well as in France, Argentina, USA and Japan. She frequently appears as soloist with renowned conductors such as Christian Hammer (Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock), Christfried Göckeritz, Robert Stehli (Klassik-Philharmonie Hamburg) and Amaury du Closel. In 2006 she was invited to the NDR radio show “Stars of Tomorrow”. And in 2008 she recorded her first CD with the Berlin Radio (RBB) and subsequently invited to the show “Talent and Career”.

Pauline Reguig has appeared at internationally renowned festivals such as the “Schumann Festival”, the “Brahms Festival”, the “Schubert Festival”, the “Festival de Radio France Montpellier Languedoc-Roussillon”(which included a live broadcast on Radio France Musique), and at the “Festival Mecklenburg-Vorpommern” with music partners including the Quartet Ebène, the Fauré Quartet and cellist Daniel Müller-Schott.

Her career has been marked by many awards: Gold Medal with Regional and National Honors in the “Youth Competition Radio France” (1999), First Prize and best interpretation of a work by Mozart at the “HMT-Musikpreis 2006” competition, “Mendelssohn-Bartholdy-Prize” and the chamber music award of “Friends of Young Musicians” at the Mendelssohn Competition 2007, Germany, for her duo performance with Emilio Peroni (piano); finalist at the International Vibrarte Competition 2008 and 2009, Paris, France; Second Prize at “HMT- Musikpreis 2008” as a chamber musician. For her performance of Schönberg’s work she received the “Izzy Fuhrmann Award” which included an extensive concert tour in the USA (2008). She won in 2010 the Third Prize with Yasuko Sugimoto at the “17th Kiejstut Bacewicz International Chamber Music Competition” in Lódz, Poland and the Second Prize at the “4th International Competition Verfemte Musik” in Schwerin, Germany.

Pauline is also a Laureate of the “Cziffra Foundation” (2008) and of the Y. Menuhin “Live Music Now” Foundation (2009).

Since 2008 she teaches violin and chamber music at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Rostock, Germany and since 2015 at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater « Felix Mendelssohn » Leipzig, Germany.

She won the post of Concertmaster at the « Staatskapelle Weimar » in March 2011.

Since October 2017, she ist the new concertmaster at the « Komische Oper » Berlin.

She plays on a violin by Claude Pirot from 1806.
